Acrylic paint on canvas
76.3 x 102cm (30.04 x 40.16 inch)
Maybe part of being human is learning to surrender to something bigger than ourselves. This piece poured out of me one night — layers of paint, rivulets of colour dripping down, merging, resisting, revealing. A face emerged, looking upward, barely there. Days later, I saw them: two red hands lifted in surrender, hidden in the layers all along. And threaded through it, the faint shimmer of gold — the kind that can only appear through the cracks. That’s where the alchemy is formed. This painting holds that moment of letting go —of surrendering to the truth of it all.
